Meet Our Team!

Asha - Receptionist/Care Navigator & Secretary

Hello, I’m Asha, one of the Receptionists/Care Navigators at Old Parsonage Surgery, as well as also being one of the Secretaries!

I started working at the surgery in September 2023, following my Biomedical Sciences degree, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far.

As a Receptionist/Care Navigator, I am your first point of contact and specialise in triaging and signposting patients to the most appropriate service. My daily routine involves handling calls and emails, sorting prescriptions, organising patient documents and my favourite job… writing our monthly newsletter!

Beyond my role at Reception, I also take on the responsibilities of Secretary. This involves managing patient scans, referrals and other administrative tasks.

What I love most about my job is constantly meeting new people and being able to direct and provide the most appropriate help to those in need.

Fun fact: Athletics is a big passion of mine, so outside of the surgery, you will most likely find me sprinting round a 400m track!

Dry January - Challenging You To Go Alcohol Free

Alcohol Change UK is a leading UK alcohol charity which focuses entirely on reducing alcohol harm, working across the whole range of serious alcohol effects, from mental and physical to societal and economic.

The charity works to achieve five main changes in relation to alcohol: improving knowledge, bettering policy and regulation, shifting cultural norms, improving drinking behaviours and bettering support and treatment.

Dry January aims to raise awareness of the harms of alcohol, as well as the awareness of Alcohol Change UK and it’s aims. To get involved, challenge yourself to go alcohol free for 31 days!
